The space

The Crow's Nest is a modern, spacious three bedroom riverside apartment in central Woodbridge, located on the historic boatyard, Robertsons. The apartment was designed by local Architects Plaice and built in 2016 to a modern design and high specification.

A wide, sturdy staircase leads up to the first-floor entrance. There is a stairlift for anyone who struggles with stairs.

The front door opens into a general entrance lobby with a fitted open wardrobe for coats and space for boots. This leads into the Hall.

The apartment comprises a large open-plan living room with a dining area and a fully fitted bespoke kitchen with an island. A wood burner and underfloor heating make this a cosy room in winter. Along the whole of one side of this room runs a triple-glazed door which opens out onto a large balcony revealing lovely south easterly views across the river towards historic Sutton Hoo. On this floor are two double bedrooms, one ensuite and one with a large wetroom opposite. One of the bedrooms can be converted into a twin room.

An oak staircase leads up to the second floor, where a third double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom is found. This room has a secluded balcony that affords elevated views along the River Deben.

There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment.

Guest access

A private access road to the Crow's Nest is shared by half a dozen other dwellings and the boatyard. Access to the apartment is gained via an external staircase to the front door. This stair has recently had a stairlift installed to facilitate disabled access. There is ample off-road parking near the boatyard, with two spaces in front of the building.

Other things to note

The apartment overlooks our boatyard, with a slipway in front of the balcony that will occasionally have various vessels undergoing repair and maintenance work during the day. From time to time there will be a little noise during working hours.
